Bokurano

Out of all the animes to come out in 2007 why was this one not noticed? So deconstructions are well known now right? Mech deconstructions like Evangelion and Gurren Lagann (to an extent) but this is different in its deconstruction, I wont dare ruin HOW its different but TRUST ME, this show is SERIOUSLY AMAZING!
It looks a bit bad because of the time it was made but the animation can either be so good you have to pick your mouth up off the ground especially with the destruction caused by the mech or justcringe worthy bad.
The characters here were my three faves and the little shit in the corner who makes Kyubey look like Jesus (no seriously, more on that in a sec)
Masaru - Absolute bastard who was a narcissist and those glasses are actually kind of important.
Jun - Again, a bastard, but his reasons are more realistic and the reasons he has his fist on Kanas head is sort of why he's a bastard.
Kana - Shrinking violet and younger sister to Jun who is the reasons she is so introverted.
Dung Beetle - Oh how he lives up to this name!
Whereas Kyubey made little girls make wishes in exchange for their souls and make them fight witches if the girls had asked what the contract entailed he would have honestly said what was happening and Kyubeys intentions to save the universe are not evil (you may stil want to feed him grenades and thats all well and justified).
Dung is evil in all meaning of the word, he witholds information from their kids like how to use the mech for shits and giggles, he manipulates their emotions because he's bored and when the kids are at their mentally weakest is when he strikes and twists their morals to suit what he wants and even (spoilers ahead) made the newest pilot try and rape the girl he likes by taunting him and saying she wont be intersted in him and he'll die a virgin (spoiler end)
this guy is such a little shit and I do want him to die in a fire or be fed a kyubey who has been fed grenades!



Im only 7 episodes into this anime and already its like the first anime series I've done fanart for, I couldnt help it, you guys need to see this show and please stick with it if you do!

Also anyone saying that Dung Beetle is a copy of Kyubey, this came out in 2007 (manga was 2003!) and Madoka Magica made a direct reference to Bokurano in episode 7 or 8, there's a scene with a load of random chairs, thats the reference, THE CHAIRS ARE ESSENTIAL TO THE PLOT
